Eyeworks presents a program of work from Shana Moulton's Whispering Pines series, followed by onstage conversation with the artist. As an INFJ (Introverted Intuitive Feeling Judging) (Myers-Briggs), Cynthia lives in a world of hidden meanings and is more interested in what is possible than what is actual. She prefers having a vivid imagination over having a strong hold on reality, and her supernormal intuition can take the form of visions or uncanny communications with certain individuals at a distance. Her ARTIST (Dominant Introvert Abstract Feeler) (Spark) aspect allows her to have a rich inner life that often turns the real world into a prison of foolishness and embarrassment. As a Type 4:Artist (Riso-Hudson), she enjoys probing topics like femininity, home decor, and spirituality with open-ended playfulness.

Eyeworks presents a special NY advance screening of the new independent feature film from Chris Sullivan, followed by onstage conversation with the artist. The Orbit of Minor Satellites is a doctor-patient story, using hand-drawn animation and live action actors. Through the characters of Durwood Richards, psychiatrist, and his long-time patient Rosemary Hamm, we investigate love, loss, blame, and forgiveness. In Rosemary’s hallucinations, there is a space station on one of the moons of Saturn, and a giant talking buffalo. As the film flows between the psychiatrist’s office and Rosemary’s imaginary space station world, we all orbit around a larger celestial body of some kind – the most common, strange, unreachable person that we hoped we would be, in orbit around our potential selves.
